EXPERIENCE SWEDISH LAPLAND AND SAMI CULTURE

On this journey we will get to know the fascinating culture of the Sami, the only indigenous population of Europe which, although fully integrated into today’s society, still keeps its traditions and costumes. We will visit Lappstaden in Arvidsjaur, the largest Sami parish village with about eighty Lappish huts, and the Båtsuoj Same Center, located in the middle of nature with the reindeer just behind the corner.

The trip offers many experiences in nature: snowmobile safaris with barbecue lunch, snowshoeing at night in Arjeplog along the shores of Hornavan, the most deep lake in Sweden, and excursion with sled dogs.

Unforgettable will be the night at Wilderness camp in the middle of nowhere, sleeping in typical wooden huts by the fireplace with no electricity or tap water. The evening light sources are a total of 100 torches spread along the paths, this gives a magical atmosphere when night comes. If we are lucky the Northern Lights will brighten up the sky too while we are relaxing in the hot tubs under the starry sky!
